On the Role of Hedge Funds in Institutional Portfolios

Hedge funds do not easily fit into the current way institutions go about investing. In this article, the author reviews both academic and practitioner research from the standpoint of a hypothetical institutional investor who is looking into whether hedge funds make sense for their portfolio.
