Noël Amenc, Associate Professor of Finance (EDHEC Singapore), EDHEC Climate Policy Coordinator

 

Noël Amenc is an Associate Professor of Finance at EDHEC Business School (Singapore). He is EDHEC’s Climate Policy Coordinator, having previously served as Director of the EDHEC Climate Institute. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Scientific Climate Indices (SciX), an initiative drawn from the research of EDHEC-Risk Institute, of which he was the founding director. He was additionally founder and CEO of Scientific Beta, an index provider specialist in smart beta and factor investing. Prior to joining EDHEC Business School, he was the Director of Research of Misys Asset Management Systems. He has published extensively in finance journals and contributed to four books on quantitative equity management, portfolio management, and alternative investments. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Portfolio Management, associate editor of the Journal of Alternative Investments, and member of the advisory board of the Journal of Index Investing. He was formerly a member of the Consultative Working Group of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Financial Innovation Standing Committee and of the Scientific Advisory Council of the AMF (French financial regulatory authority) and the Finance Research Council of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He holds graduate degrees in economics, finance and management and a PhD in finance.
