About Waves of Change

Waves of Change is a non-profit organization supporting the transition of coastal cities and their ecosystems towards greater resilience and sustainability. Since 2019, it has convened a global multi-stakeholder coalition to address the strategic challenges faced by coastal territories through concrete innovation and conservation projects. These initiatives cover seven priority areas, coastal adaptation, water management, waste management and circularity, energy transition, sustainable mobility, biodiversity and public health, and sustainable tourism and local communities, supported by two cross-cutting pillars: financing and talent.

Its activities are structured around an annual international forum in Biarritz, France, and are extended year-round through the Coastal Cities Impact Facility, a dedicated platform designed to initiate, structure, scale, and finance high-impact projects, complemented by targeted community and ecosystem events.
