Climate Risk: CFA Society France and GARP Conference
Anthony Schrapffer to Discuss Climate Risks for Financial Institutions at CFA Society France and GARP Conference
Anthony Schrapffer, Scientific Director of the EDHEC Climate Institute, will deliver the opening keynote at a conference on climate risk organised by CFA Society France and GARP on 12 November 2026 in Paris.
As climate risks evolve, financial institutions face growing challenges in understanding their exposure and adapting their risk management approaches. Bringing together scientific expertise and industry perspectives, the conference will explore the changing climate risk landscape and its implications for banks, asset managers and insurers.
In a 20-minute keynote, Anthony Schrapffer will provide an overview of climate risk trends, the main drivers shaping their evolution and a mapping of the key climate-related risks facing financial institutions.
His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion bringing together representatives from banking, insurance and asset management to explore how climate risks affect different segments of the financial industry and how institutions are responding.
The panel will feature:
- Valentin Kammes, Head of Physical Risks Methodologies & Analysis (RISK ESG), BNP Paribas
- Guillaume Serderczny, Head of Climate Lab, MAIF
- An asset management representative (to be confirmed)
The discussion will be moderated by Sophie Haas, CFA, Chair of the Sustainability Committee at CFA Society France.
The conference will conclude with a networking cocktail, offering participants an opportunity to exchange perspectives with speakers and fellow finance professionals.
